MAPLEWOOD, NJ — SOMA Cross Cultural Works (SOMA CCW), in partnership Maplewood Township, and South Orange Village were proud to organize and host the first Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month kickoff celebration. SOMA CCW is a local nonprofit that supports and celebrates the cultural diversity of our towns. They are the organizers of cultural festivals like Diwali Fest NJ, Lunar Fest NJ and Hola Fest NJ. But SOMA CCW does more than that. The organization raises money for food pantries and for culturally diverse books in local elementary schools and works hard to enrich our towns and make it more culturally responsive.
